Recently, a domestic coal machine equipment manufacturing tycoon ——“SANY Heavy Industry” officially signed the Shanxi coal machine industrial park project with Taiyuan ETDZ. This project has an investment of 1 billion Yuan and appointed annual sales income of 6 billion Yuan. Taiyuan ETDZ will become the largest boring machine and coal winning machine production base and the second conveyor production base.
 
In recent 2 months, Taiyuan ETDZ has further innovated new thoughts and accelerated the development of coal machine equipment manufacturing industry: first, the zone solved industrial weak link by relying on existing enterprises and attracting investment. The coal machine equipment industrial park project covers a planning area of 3,900 mus. 10 new coal machine equipment industry projects in the park have a total investment of over 5 billion Yuan. In addition to SANY Heavy Industry, Taizhong coal machine and German Delukaofu cooperated and invested 620 million Yuan to construct an international first class hydraulic support complete equipment base. The settlement of these projects will fill the gap in the field of high-end electro-hydraulic control system of the hydraulic support, coal winning machine in low coal seam, automatic explosion suppression equipment in underground coal mines etc. Second, the zone optimized the layout. Phase I planning covers a total area of about 1000 mus, will construct the only domestic comprehensive coal machine industrial base integrating R&D, manufacturing, comprehensive experiments, training, transaction market of product technology and supporting service. Third, the zone set up a special fund for coal machine industry development. A total fund not less than 300 million Yuan during the period of “the 12th five-year plan” will be used mainly for supporting R&D of products in equipment enterprise, construction of R&D institute, talent introduction and cultivation etc. It is expected that coal equipment industry will achieve industrial output value of over 30 billion Yuan by the end of “the 12th five-year plan”.
