Co-organized by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce of the P. R. China (CIPA),
China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI), and local authorities, the Dialogue between
Chinese Private Enterprises and the Fortune 500 is designed to promote the exchange and cooperation
between Chinese private businesses and multinational companies represented by the Fortune 500. Thus far,
the annual event has been held for four times.
The 2009 Dialogue between Chinese Private Enterprises and the Fortune 500 is to be held in Changzhou, a
city of Jiangsu Province in Southeast China, on September 28-29. Currently, the financial crisis has not yet hit
bottom and the recovery of the global economy will be a slow and bumpy process. Accordingly, the upcoming
event will center on “Watching the Recovery: Pursuing New Cooperative Opportunities for Chinese Private
Enterprises and Multinational Companies” and invite executives of the Fortune 500 companies and other
multinationals, Chinese private entrepreneurs, well-known economists and top-level representatives from the
leading consulting companies and law firms, to share their perspectives in in-depth discussions on:
“green competitiveness” and corporate social responsibilities;
overseas mergers and acquisitions;
brand building and cooperation.
Changzhou, one of the major metropolises in the Yangtze River Delta, boasts advanced private economy and
sound investment climate. It will inject fresh vigor into the event as the local host. We can expect the Dialogue
in Changzhou as brilliant as ever before.
