CIFIT——Global Capital Extravaganza

China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, is sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, PRC and held during September annually in Xiamen, China. As the sole international investment promotion event featuring two-way investment facilitation in China currently, CIFIT is also the only and largest global investment exposition certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).

The 14th CIFIT held in 2010 with a total exhibition area of nearly 60,000 square meters including 3000 international standard booths attracted 80 countries and regions for exhibition. Around 15,000 international visitors from over 130 countries and regions as well as more than 45,000 domestic guests participated in the Fair which was fully covered by over 1,500 journalists from domestic and overseas mainstream press organizations. In conjunction with the 14th CIFIT, World Investment Forum 2010 (WIF 2010), which is organized by UNCTAD in partnership with Ministry of Commerce, PRC was held in Xiamen during September 6-9, 2010. This global forum themed on Investing and Sustainable Development attracted nearly 1,000 distinguished guests consisting of government and business leaders, eminent investors, renowned experts and scholars, heads of IPAs, as well as international mainstream media all over the world.
