Express on Imports and Exports by FIEs from Jan to Dec. 2009

According to the Customs¡¯ statistics, from January to December 2009, import and export of foreign-invested enterprises totaled  US$ 1217.437 billion, a decrease of 13.69 per cent over the same period of last year, 0.19 per cent lower than the growth rate (13.88 per cent) of the country in the same period, accounting for 55.16 per cent of the total import and export of the country.

From January to December 2009, export of foreign-invested enterprises totaled US$ 672.23 billion, a 14.97 per cent decrease over the same period of last year, 1.03 per cent lower than the growth rate (16 per cent) of the country in the same period, accounting for 55.94 per cent of the total export value of the whole country, which was 0.67 per cent increased in the proportion of the country¡¯s total export.

From January to December 2009, import of foreign-invested enterprises recorded US$ 545.207 billion, down by 12.06 per cent over the same period of last year, 0.86 per cent higher than the growth rate (11.2 per cent) of the total import in the country, accounting for 54.22 per cent of the total import value of the whole country, which was 0.53 per cent descend in the proportion of the country¡¯s total import.
