According to the statistics of news release of foreign investment, from January to July 2007, foreign-invested enterprises newly approved for establishment reached total number of 21676, a decreased 4.81% as compared with that of the same period last year; and the actual use of foreign investment reached USD36.931b, a growth 12.92% as compared with that of the same period last year.

According to the statistics of news release of foreign investment, in July 2007, foreign-invested enterprises newly approved for establishment reached total number of 2993, a decreased 0.96% as compared with that of the same period last year; and the actual use of foreign investment reached USD5.042b, a growth 17.84% as compared with that of the same period last year.

From January to July from the US, the number of newly established enterprises in China witnessed a decreased of 14.42% and actual use of foreign investment growth by 5.34% respectively; And from Europe, the number of newly established enterprises in China witnessed a decreased of 6.94% and actual use of foreign investment decreased by 34.16% respectively.

From January to July this year, the top ten nations and regions with investment in China (as per the actual input of foreign capital) are as follows: Hong Kong (USD12.324b), Virgin Island (USD8.567b), South Korea (USD2.254b),Japan (USD2.009b),  Singapore (USD1.465b),the US(USD1.463b), Cayman Islands (USD1.321b), West Samoa (USD1.018b), Taiwan Province(USD833m) and Mauritius (USD713m), total of which accounted for 86.56% of total actual use of foreign investment in the country.
