According to the statistics of news release of foreign investment, from January to April 2007, foreign-invested enterprises newly approved for establishment reached total number of 12349, a decreased 2.29% as compared with that of the same period last year; and the actual use of foreign investment reached USD20.359b, a growth 10.17% as compared with that of the same period last year.

According to the statistics of news release of foreign investment, in April 2007, foreign-invested enterprises newly approved for establishment reached total number of 3052, a decreased 18.18% as compared with that of the same period last year; and the actual use of foreign investment reached USD4.466b, a growth 5.49% as compared with that of the same period last year.

From January to April from the US, the number of newly established enterprises in China witnessed a decreased of 11.93% and actual use of foreign investment growth by 4.19% respectively; And from Europe, the number of newly established enterprises in China witnessed a decreased of 8.47% and actual use of foreign investment decreased by 39.18% respectively.

From January to April this year, the top ten nations and regions with investment in China (as per the actual input of foreign capital) are as follows: Hong Kong (USD6.536b), Virgin Island (USD4.711b), Japan (USD1.337b), South Korea (USD1.061b), Singapore (USD928m),the US(USD872m), Cayman Islands (USD733m), West Samoa (USD538m), Taiwan Province(USD448m) and Mauritius (USD355m), total of which accounted for86.02% of total actual use of foreign investment in the country.
