It is reported from the development zone recently that Asymchem Laboratories (Tianjin) Co., Ltd has proceeded smoothly as one of the major projects of independent innovation in Tianjin. The new GMP plants and R & D Center, as the key project in the first phase, have been completely equipped and put into operation.  The second part of the project includes biology building, GMP preparation workshop, Laboratory Building of Synthesis and the office buildings, which are just in the process of construction. It is expected that the total output of Asymchem Laboratories will exceed RMB yuan 2 billion by 2010.
 
Asymchem Laboratories (Tianjin) Co., Ltd has settled in Taida International Business Centre since 1999. Thanks to the "double high" policy of the development zone, it has changed during several years from a small enterprise with only tens of technological patents into the large-scale R & D and production enterprise with up to one hundred cutting-edge technologies and hundreds of professionals. As a support to the industrial base of raw material medicine and pharmaceutical intermediates, the new plant of Asymchem Laboratories has established the largest production base of cGMP standard raw material medicine in the country, which provides quality products to its sales clients including the world's top 10 pharmaceutical companies.

According to reports, the first part of Asymchem Laboratories' new factory project totally covers an area of 50,000 square meters, which has 12 independent cGMP production workshops, adopts international advanced design concepts with the all-clean air-conditioning systems meeting the FDA standards of the United States, and it could produce in Large-scale world-class quality raw material medicine and the correspondent intermediate products. At present, the new R & D Center covering an area of 10,000 square meters in its first phase has been put into use, which is equipped with a set of imported R & D equipment and could accommodate more than 300 people to carry out R & D project. The dosage form research laboratory and workshops will be built during the second phase. They will be used to provide preparation R & D outsourcing services for large international pharmaceutical companies and this will fill the gaps in international market. According to the relevant personnel in charge of the company, the expected annual output of Asymchem Laboratories' new factory will reach 10 tons, the production of products worthy of tens of millions of dollars in the contracts signed with its clients has been formally started in the factory.
