Recently, Du Guo Ling, director of the Suzhou Standing Committee, together with the members of Suzhou Standing Committee, inspect the implementation of the  "Small-Middle Enterprises (SME in short) Promotion Law". The inspection team inspects the Loufeng Town Dongjing industrial Center and technology software-testing Center in Suzhou Industrial Park. Inspection team fully affirmed SME's achievements of Suzhou Industrial Park within these five years.

More than 99 percent of private enterprises in Suzhou industrial park are SME. Since the "SME Promotion Law" was implemented on January 1, 2003, Suzhou Industrial Park vigorously promoted "a new round of growth plan" of Private Economy. Aim is to comprehensively strengthen the planning, coordination, guidance and services of private economic development. Suzhou Industrial Park have done a lot of work and fulfilled many achievements on creating a development environment, Strengthening planning guidance, constructing a carrier for starting a business, building a service platform, implementing the supporting policy, maintaining economic order.

By the end of May 2008, total registered private enterprises in Suzhou Industrial Park are 10, 617, while registered capital is 37.12 billion. Average registered capital of each Enterprise is 3.5 million yuan, ranking #1 in Jiangsu Province. There are over 10,000 Private business owners in the park, and the registered capital is over 570 million yuan.
