On the morning of May 31, 14 foreign and national enterprises in Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, such as Hangzhou Pepsi-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd and so on, went into operation at the same time. The total investment is $0.41 billion , and it will bring an additional RMB yuan 5.22 billion each year after achieving full capacity.

The 14 operating enterprises are involved in industries such as electronics, hardware, home appliances manufacturing, food and beverage, etc. Hangzhou Pepsi-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd is a joint venture under PepsiCo (China) Investment Company, and its carbonated drinks production lines in Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone will produce beverages like include Pepsi, Pepsi Light, Seven Up, Mirinda, etc. The Spanish Company, Iberia Electronics (Hangzhou) Co. Ltd, is mainly engaged in R&D, electronic products manufacturing.
 
At the same time, there are 15 national and foreign enterprises companies including IBM signed 17 project contracts with Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, which will bring about an investment of $1.088 billion.
