Since the beginning of the year ,service industry in Kunshan ETDZ has been developing sound , 22 new projects were approved and the total registered foreign capital reached 785.6 million dollars .  Mainly in areas like trade, software, logistics , real estate . Service industry has become the focus of the ETDZ's economic development. 

It was reported that the service outsourcing concentration area ,started last year, has primarily taken shape ,in which 74 enterprises in the industry have settled .  8 are supply chain management companies and 22 are IT companies . The total investment of the 74 companies is in the approximation of 300 million Yuan .  Wangjin Tech is one of theses companies , since the establishment it has been engaging in service outsourcing , main business of which includes outsourcing of IT system and operation flow.  。It provided a complete solution of ticket sale for America Airline , through the system the company could check real time ticket sale condition and then analyze and price the unsold  tickets according to ticket sale and transaction records of other companies , which has promoted the competitiveness and  operating profit of the airline . 

The expanded bonded logistic function of the export processing zone has brought about new opportunity to modern service industry .  Ever since the beginning of the pilot scheme, logistic companies from all over the world expressed their intend of cooperation with the zone . To date ,13 logistic companies have registered in the zone ,7 of which are carrying out bonded logistic business.  Among these companies are many big names ,such as AMB , a famous logistic facility provider ;and Tongyong Logistics , the parent company of which ,Hong Kong Weijia Logistics is a giant in the industry operating in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. The establishment of Tongyong will bring advance concepts and operating modes into Kunshan .  It has entered contracts with China Freight Aviation and Eastern Airlines to build extended port freight depot of Pudong International Airport in Kunshan Processing Zone , establishing a platform that integrates operation , information and management ,thus connecting Kunshan Processing Zone with the airport , building an airlift express way.  Three phases of storage facilities are planned to be built in the Bonded Logistic Park . The first phase covers an area of over 100 thousand square meters ,the bonded warehouses of over 38 thousand square meters have already been full loaded; the second phase covers an area of nearly 230 thousand square meters , bonded warehouses of 110 thousand square meters and an exhibiting center of 20 thousand are currently under construction ; and the third phase covers an area of 147 thousand square meters , and bonded warehouses of over 170 thousand square meters are under construction . 

Meanwhile , the construction of the R&D building in the Industrial Science and Technology Park has been going smoothly.  The construction of Kunshan Liancai Software Science And Technology Co., Ltd and other 6 companies of the same kind will soon be started , which will focus on technological development of computer software, hardware and  peripheral equipment technology consultation, technology transfer, technical service and software R&D after completion .  According to authorities of the ETDZ , the fast economic and social development during the past years , especially the advantage of manufacturing industry laid solid foundation for the development of modern service industry .  Currently , a sound situation of the hand-in-hand development of advanced manufacturing industry and modern service industry is taking shape in the zone.
