Shanghai Comtec Solar Power Technology Co., Ltd entered an agreement with Nanchang ETDZ on May 9 , under which Comtec will set up a project to produce monocrystalline silicon in the ETDZ .  Yu Xinrong , Standing Member of Jiangxi CPC Committee and Secretary of Nanchang CPC Committee attended the signing ceremony and met the delegation of the company led by CEO  Mr. Zhang Yi. Hu Xian , Deputy Mayor , and Wang Yong , Standing Member of Nanchang CPC Committee and Standing Deputy Mayor also attended the ceremony. 

Yu Xinrong expressed his congratulation to the successful cooperation between these two parties and briefed them on the guidelines and background of the economic development in Nanchang .  He said that in the process of industrialization and urbanization , Nanchang is making great efforts to promote modern service industry , building financial , commercial and logistic centers , and  employing all available means to meet the needs of enterprises and different people.  The government has always seen the needs of enterprises as its responsibility , taken their satisfaction as its working standard, and the their success as its value of work. He also pointed out that to cooperate with an excellent team as Comtec is a privilege and the government will support the development of the company with the most efficient work and best service ,and build a new material industry fo high technology in Nanchang with the common efforts of enterprises and the government . 

Invested by Comtec Co., Ltd of America and funded in 2005 , Shanghai Comtec Solar Power Technology Co., Ltd is a high-tech company engaging in production and sale of solar power monocrystalline silicon.  It was planning produce monocrystalline silicon plate of 70 megawatts within this year , limited by productivity and production space , it decided to invest 200 million dollars to set up the monocrystalline silicon project in Nanchang ETDZ.  The project comprised two phases , the first of which will involve  an investment of 80 million dollars , and was expected to be finished within a year , after which the productivity would reach 200 megawatts and realize sales revenue of 4 billion Yuan per year . The second phase will involve an investment of 120 million dollars and will increase the productivity by 400 megawatts . After the completion of the second phase , the total productivity will reach 600 megawatts the sales revenue will stand at 14 billion Yuan per year .
