The monthly industrial output of Wuhan ETDZ reached 10.098 billion Yuan in April, exceeding 10 billion Yuan for the first time . 

According to the statistics , auto and auto parts enterprises still served as the major force of economic growth of the zone . The gross industrial output value of this industry reached 20.561 billion Yuan in April , increasing 32.12% compared with the same period of the previous year. 

Dongfeng Hongda Auto Company started the secondhand car swap business in the end of last year , under which customers could swap their own car of any brand with a CIVIC or a new generation CR _ V after evaluation and paying the price difference . The accumulative output value in the first 4 months stood at 9.759 billion Yuan , up 91.54% on the basis of last year . 55540 cars were produced within the same period . 

The Dongfeng Peugeot 307 of Shenlong Auto and the new version of Dongfeng Citroen Elyseex were launched on February 20th and April 8th . 6.892 billion Yuan's output value was realized in the first 4 months and 71127 cars were produced . 

Authorities of the ETDZ estimated that if the current trend could continue , the gross industrial output value of 2008 would exceed 100 billion Yuan ,and the  fiscal revenue would pass 8 billion .
