Since the beginning of the year , Qingdao ETDZ has made great efforts to implement the development strategy highlighting high-end and special projects such as Phoenix Island ,Tangdao Bay and Xiaozhu Mountain .  The gross investment of projects under construction and will be construted stood at 20 billion Yuan mainly in the five categories of stared hotels , high end clubs , entertainment , culture and eco tourism . Major projects included Golden Beach Holiday Hotel , Hair Phoenix Bay Hotel , Tangdao Bay International Yacht Club ,Originality Media Institute of Beijing Motion Picture Institute , Tangdao Bay Beach Entertainment Plaza , Golden Beach Haobang International Club etc.  Along with the construction and operation of these high end projects , the framework of cluster development of tourism in the ETDZ has been primarily formed which will facilitate the further improvement of the recreation amenities , the promotion of core competitiveness of tourism and the transition of the tourism industry from sightseeing to leisure and recreation .
