Kunshan ETDZ made record in the amount of scientific and technological projects applications .The project applications of different  levels and categories reached 40 , 15 of which were  high and new technology products , 6 were provincial industrial technological support programs , 2 were provincial transformation of key scientific and technological achievements, 3 were provincial international scientific-technical cooperation projects, 6 were in the category of Jiangsu science and technology small and medium-sized enterprise innovation fund , and 1 were provincial key academy . 

One prominent feature of theses projects was the high technological content .  The Jiangsu Provincial New Style Panel Display Technical Research Institute set up by Kunshan Longteng Photoelectricity Co ., Ltd  has been listed as key R&D institution project by the Provincial Science and Technology Department , and will receive 100 million Yuan's fund from the department . The compound probiotic bios project of the Kunshan Huake Biomacromolecule Material Research Institution jointly founded by East China Normal University and Kunshan Kexin  Environment  Bioengineering  has applied for the scientific  and technological support program of Jiangsu Province ( industry category ) . The project fully uses the biological value of the characteristics of microbes and dozens of enzymes they generated and the effect complementation of probiotics, possessing a leading role in the industry both at home and abroad .  Kunshan Ruixin Micro-electronics Co., Ltd founded by Doc. Luo Wenzhe and other 4 doctors retuned from America , applied for the Jiangsu Provincial Scientific and Technological Small And Medium-sized Enterprise Technology Innovation Fund for its 0 nanometer CMOS picture sensor soc chip project which has got 2 invention patents and 3 utility patents . It is now in the pilot test stage and expected to promote China's CMOS picture sensor chip into world class .  　　

The scientific and technological project applications by private enterprises were prominent in these applications in Kunshan ETDZ. Post doctor Zou Jiasheng ,who worked at the Huaheng Company Post doctor Working Station , has made stage achievement in his research subject, the first marine tube－tube and tube－flange robot welding product line in China was developed successfully in Huaheng  Welding Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. The project has passed the scientific and technological achievement verification of the Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense  and the  pioneer product achievement  verification of Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Trade Commission ,and was used in by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd . Kunshan Baiyi Electronic Scientific and Technological Materials Co., Ltd is a company devoting to become China's first high-tech company engaging in development of polishing technology in ic manufacturing engineering. Its project of polishing solution used in cmp technology in  ic manufacturing process has applied for the Jiangsu Provincial Scientific and Technological Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Technology Innovation Fund .  It utilizes chemicophysical means to conduct surface modification to nanometer grains to raise the polishing precision . The project is in the pilot test stage and will fill the blank of polishing technology market . 

New achievements were made in key science and technology projects.  Sany SCC9000 crawler crane crowned as The First Crane in Asia, C - 8 excavator adopting the world leading positive flow hydraulic system , and SY650C backhoe hydraulic excavator with maximum tonnage in China were developed in Sany Heavy Machinery .  The special transducer for permanent magnetism synchro motor without coder developed by Kunshan Unicon Industrial Technology Co., Ltd was a project with independent intellectual property that has reached the international advanced stage and opened a new era for production of home made high end transducers .
