The foundation stone laying ceremony of the road construction and maintenance machinery production project was held in Jingwei Industrial Park of Xi'an ETDZ on April 15th. It was invested by Xi'an Road Construction Machinery Co., Ltd which is a subsidiary of China Communications and Construction Group.

Xi'an Road Construction Machinery Co. Ltd is the earliest and largest road machinery researcher and producer in China , the total assets of which is near 800 million Yuan.  The company once located in the second ring road of the city , according to the principle put forward in the Action Plan of Industrial Development and Industrial Restructuring in Xi'an that efforts shall be made to promote the concentration of manufacturing enterprises in specialized areas, chose Jingwei Industrial Park as the location for the project . The first phase of the project involved a total investment of 300 million Yuan and was equipped with 167 new metal cutting machines, testing devices and cranes.  It will produce large road construction and maintenance equipment after being put into operation with an annual production scale of 2 billion Yuan and will facilitate the systematic upgrading of management and technology of the company, realizing its expansion. 

It was the second specialized machinery manufacturing enterprise located in the ETDZ after Sinosteel Xi'an Machinery Co., Ltd.  Since last year, Jingwei Industrial Park, targeting building a advanced manufacturing base of over 100 billion Yuan and accelerating the industrialization of Xi'an, has attracted many enterprises in modern equipment manufacturing industry , forming distinctive characteristics and outstanding advantages in industrial development, infrastructure construction and investments inviting.  The project will further promote the   concentration of equipment manufacturing industry in Jingwei Industrial Park , thus propelling the  structure adjustment  of the industry in Shanxi Province  and the formation of the centralization and comparative advantage of manufacturing industry .
