The buildup of Changzhou as a study-oriented city has brought itself opportunities for its accelerated development. In Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, a specialized training, with investment invitation as the subject, not only taught the staff members the techniques of investment invitation, but also made them understand the new trends of the economic development abroad. Via the experts' lectures delivery, they learned that an industrial restructuring is in progress in some developed countries. To grasp the opportunities, they busied themselves with a full investigation demonstration. On such a basis, they visited Japan, Republic of Korea and other countries for the introduction of industrial transfer projects that are adaptable to the development of Changzhou. At present, more than 20 projects are in process of negotiation. Even though half of them were negotiated successfully, a foreign investment of at least one hundred million US dollars could be lured in Changzhou.
