Convance Inc, one of global largest medical R&D outsourcing enterprises, and the renowned notified body of medicine Wuxi Pharma Tech held project cooperation presentation on July 22 in Wuzhong district, Suzhou province, announcing to form a joint venture company with each holding 50% of equity stakes to offer world-class pre-clinical contractual research service. Joint settlement of two large giants, which contributed to Wuzhong biomedicine R&D outsourcing enterprises increasing to 5, has become the most important production base of “prescription” in Yangtze River delta.
In 2006, Wuxi Phrama Tech set up the research center for safety evaluation of drugs in Wuzhong, followed by Convance Inc with Wuxi Phrama Tech serving as a bridge. Win-win cooperation of both parties this time is to build a new drug R&D platform in accordance with requirements of FDA and international standards and offer service in such aspects as toxicology of GLP standard, drug metabolism and biochemistry.
