From the beginning of this year, Hebei utilizing foreign investment took on a rapid increasing trend. The latest data from Hebei Provincial Bureau of Statistics indicated the whole province actually utilizing foreign investment broke through USD2b in the first half of the year, reaching USD2.01b, up by 30.0% from the same period of last year.
Statistics showed in the first half of the year, foreign direct investment pushed the rapid increase of Hebei actually utilizing foreign investment with foreign direct investment of USD1.93b, up by 75.9%. Among them, equipment manufacturing, new hi-tech industry and building materials industry amounted to USD700m, 560m and 180m, up by 4.7 times, 1.2 times and 1.4 times, accounting for 36.3%, increasing 25 percentage points year-on-year, 29.2%, increasing 5.4 percentage points, and 9.1% of foreign direct investment respectively.
