After the earthquake in Wenchuan on May 12, headquarters of Home Depot Group in Atlanta instructed Home Depot Foundation to donate USD100, 000 to support the earthquake relief. At the same time, Home Depot China, including the Home Depot global procurement center, decided to carry out an activity of “dedication with love, to help people in the disaster areas to rebuild their home, fulfilling their home dreams”. By the donation of staff, suppliers and customers and the sale of work at weekend, they collected RMB1.4 m in total, including USD100, 000 donated by Home Depot Foundation, of which, RMB700, 000 will be used for purchasing 1,000 professional relief tents, which will be delivered to the disaster area personally by outstanding staff of Home Depot.
