Wenzhou Private Enterprises have formed such an enterprise community, which not only holds indigenous characteristics but also is globally competitive. When the large state-owned enterprises just began undertaking M&A and establishing factories overseas, they had already set their footprints all over the world. These “pure indigenous enterprises” went global with their products in a primary sales method, but have taken a monopolistic market share through their common products of unknown brands. However, their dreams of becoming world-class enterprises are now encountered with the morass of “anti-dumping and trade war” and the bottleneck of industrial upgrading. Wenzhou enterprises, which have always been unhurried and low-profile, began to ponder about their bewilderment: How can they grow into transnational corporations? How will they learn form the internationalization process of those large enterprises? How to join the global value chain so as to embrace the transnational capitals?
Having gone through the world trade war, Wenzhou enterprises have shown the first sign of self-renovation and proprietary brands establishment; “Inviting In” and “Going Global” are equally important and need further exploration; what are the choices going to be made in the open economy featuring “Attracting and consolidating with Foreign Investment by Private Sector”?

Topic of the Forum: Internationalization of Private Enterprises and Industrial Matching
The international image of an enterprise indicates its coordinate in the global business ethics world, and more importantly, it reflects its way of treating consumers, employees, cooperation partners, people of the same trade and the local government, and to a certain extent determines whether the enterprise can be accepted by a business circle. If the shoe-burning incident in Wulinmen Square of Hangzhou symbolizes the awakening of brand awareness of Wenzhou enterprises, which resulted in the first industrial upgrading of Wenzhou enterprises in 1987, then today’s dialogue meeting between leading Wenzhou enterprises and global top 500 would be the second wave of Wenzhou enterprises’ upgrading. How will they learn from these real business giants, and become cooperation partners for each other after going global?

Topic of the forum: Matching of Marketing Network—Newfound opportunities for Global Top 500 in China
While Wenzhou enterprises were fighting in the international market as Chinese leading enterprises, they deployed a breathtakingly huge marketing network: there are hundreds of thousands of stores, marketing branch companies and agent companies for name brand products across the country opened by Wenzhou people; there are numerous Wenzhou-type markets including Wenzhou Street and Wenzhou Town—they push the limits of marketing. This is Wenzhou enterprises’ distinctive advantage, like outreaching antennas waiting to match with international capital and business opportunities. What can the transnational enterprises do in the area with such excessive private capital? What should be the mode of cooperation between the two sides?
