DEVELOPMENT OF CHINA'S INDUSTRY
In 2008, China's generated power was 3.4334t kwh, up 5.2%, and the growth rate declined 9.4%, in which the thermal power was 2.7793t kwh, increasing by 2.2%, and the hydropower was 563.3b kwh, with an increase of 19.5%.
STATUS OF FOREIGN INVESTMENT
According to the statistics of MOFCOM, 130 foreign investment projects in Electricity industry(Electricity Industry (Code D44) hereinafter is in accordance with the National Economic Industrial Classification (GB/T4754-2202£©.) were newly set up in 2008, 43 less than that of the same period in the last year, and the amount of the actual utilized foreign capital reached USD 863,710,000, up by 52.59£¥ year-on-year.
COMMITMENTS TO THE WTO AND INTERNATIONAL PRACTICES
According to The Guiding List Concerning Foreign-funded Industries that was approved by the State Council and jointly publicized by the State Development Planning Commission, the State Trade and Economic Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation in 2002, foreign investment is prohibited in construction and management of electricity supply network.
DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL INDUSTRIES
According to French official statistics, in 2006, French production brute was 574.5TWh. Among them, nuclear power contributed 450.2TWh (78.4% of the total); hydraulic energy supplied 61.6TWh (10.7%); Fossil energy produced 60.5TWh (10.5%); Wind energy produced 2.1TWh (0 .37%) and photoelectric energy was 1TWh (0.02%).
