DEVELOPMENT OF CHINA'S INDUSTRY
In 2006, price upswing became a most popular vocabulary within the Chinese printing industry. International oil price has been spun out of control ever since 2005, and the high price shadowed the entire Chinese economy, and afflicted the printing industry. The international crude oil price kept soaring in 2006, making a new record of 75.35$ per cask in the beginning of the year.
STATUS OF FOREIGN INVESTMENT
As to the foreign invested printing enterprises in 2006, C & C Printing Co. invested the most. It sets up 3 enterprises in the mainland of China one after another. In March, Shanghai subsidiary was set up. In May, the first C&C RFID (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, which was cooperated with Shanghai Fudan Technology, was set up in China. And in July, C & C cycle center was founded.
COMMITMENTS TO THE WTO AND INTERNATIONAL PRACTICES
China's printing industry was already opened before China's entry into the WTO, therefore is not included in China's commitments to the WTO.
DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL INDUSTRIES
In 2006, the world printing industry maintains rapid development. In 2006 total output value of the United States printing industry reached 170.3 billion U.S. dollars, growing by 3% over 2005; the printing companies totaled approximately 39000, practitioners up to 1,083,700, roughly the same as in 2005.
