DEVELOPMENT OF CHINA'S INDUSTRY
In 2006, total logistics amounts maintained fast growth due to the two factors that primarily promoted them, including total industrial products logistics amounts(increased by 16.4%) and total import logistics amounts(increased by 25.2%). Added-value of logistics industry was increased by 12.1%, accounting for 17.1% of total service industry added-value from 16.5% in 2005. Total logistics charges are predicted to grow by 13.2%, steadily accounting for about 18.5% of GDP.
STATUS OF FOREIGN INVESTMENT
In the just past year of 2006, relying on their strong funds, advanced logistics concepts, management technologies and human resource advantages, international logistics giants accelerated their deployment in China.
COMMITMENTS TO THE WTO AND INTERNATIONAL PRACTICES
Foreign service suppliers will be permitted to establish joint venture in China. Within one year after China's accession, foreign majority ownership will be permitted. Within three years after China's accession, foreign service suppliers will be permitted to establish wholly foreign-owned subsidiaries.
DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL INDUSTRIES
American commercial and trade logistics cost was increased by 11% to 1310 billion US dollars, 3.5% more than American economic growth, and 130 billion US dollars more than that of last year. It was the third year of logistics cost keeping up.
