| In 2006, China's hotel industry has made gratifying achievements in industrial standardization and internationalization in the context of rapid and steady development of national economy. At present, China has a total of 12,000 star-rated hotels, well recognized as a big country with abundant hotels. Today, the top ten international hotel groups have entered China and accelerate full expansion, followed by the second line brands. |

STATUS OF FOREIGN INVESTMENT |
| According to the statistics released by Ministry of Commerce, in 2006 there were 285 projects using foreign investment in lodging industry, down 8.95% under the same period of the previous year. The actually used foreign capital amount was 830 million USD, up 90.25% over the previous year. |

COMMITMENTS TO THE WTO AND INTERNATIONAL PRACTICES |
| With respect to the cross-border supply, i.e. the services which are supplied by the way of intermedium and no involvement of the movement of personnel, capitals and materials, and consumption abroad, i.e. the services, supplied by the other country, are purchased by the consumer of the one country when he or she goes abroad, or the services, without the consumer of the one country going abroad, are supplied directly by the other country, there is no limitation on market access and national treatment. |

DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL INDUSTRIES |
| According to the research report released by Deloitte & Touche, driven by the growth of the average house price, during the first half of 2006 Asia-Pacific hotel industry kept growing. The main evaluation index revPAR was up 7.5% over the same period in 2005. Report showed that South and South-east Asia performed outstandingly, both achieving double digit growth. |
