| According to the statistics released by Ministry of Commerce, in 2006 there were 27 projects using foreign investment in coal mining and dressing industry, up 3.85% over the same period of the previous year. The actually used foreign capital amount was 200 million USD, up 164.76% over the previous year. |

| DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL INDUSTRIES |
| Since 1999, Russian coal mining volume for carbonation and power needs has continuously grown. In 2004, coal mining volume was 283 million ton, which reached 299.8 million tons in 2005 and 388 million tons in 2006. In 2006, the mining volume using underground mining methods was up 4.4% over the year 2005 (in 2006 the mining volume was 192.8 million tons). |
