| Under the influence of the slowdown in growth of China¡¯s electronic telecommunication industry, the economic benefit of communication equipment manufacturing in 2007 dropped sharply compared with the previous year. Viewing from the growth in produce and sale, the total industrial output value of communication equipment industry reached RMB800.641b, up by 9.2%, with a drop in amplitude of 21.6% over 2006; the industrial sales value was RMB772.694b, up by 8.6%, with a drop in amplitude of 20.3% over 2006. The sales increase slowed down, leading to an increased pressure in inventory. |

To be more specific, the digital content industry grew the fastest, by 40.1%; the telecommunications industry grew the slowest, and by 6.2%; software and IT services grew slightly faster than the communications industry, by 6.3%. |
