State Family Planning Commission

State Family Planning Commission represents the institutional organ of State Council in charge of family planning.

 Its main responsibilities include:

1, Analyze and draw up strategies, policies and drafts of laws and legislation on family planning; plan and manage related regulations;

2, Conduct the research on strategies of population development; draw up medium-term, long-term and annual plans of family planning and plans for national family planning development; be in charge of the collection and analysis of family planning data.

3, Organize and implement family planning surveys; organize and implement comprehensive and perspective studies analysis on major issues.

4, Formulate plan for the public promotion of population and family planning, and organize education.

5, Manage technological services of family planning and population; draw up related regulations on birth, birth control, sterile; cooperate with public health organizations to work out plans on development population quality; to direct and supervise the distribution of family planning technology and drug utensils.

6, work out budgets and final accounts of related funds, demand plans for contraceptive supply.

7, Draw up plans for building up a quality contingent of family planning staff.

8, Carry out international exchanges and cooperation in population and family planning field; supervise and manage international projects of family planning.

9, Direct social organization work of population and family planning.

10, Undertake other issues assigned by State Council.
