IV The analyses of the structure of family income of dwellers
1. The fixed incomes increased rapidly, the income of Jiangsu was obviously on the low side
Now, the primary source of dwellers' family income was fixed income ¨C the labor compensation from employers (wage, prize, allowance etc.). In the first quarter of 2005, the average fixed income of 15 cities of Yangtze River Delta was 3373 Yuan, it had a rise of 17.2% when compared to the corresponding period of the last, accounting for 68.1% of the whole income of dwellers' family income, so it was the primary source of dwellers' family income. Looked from the absolute value and proportion, the average fixed income of Shanghai was 4059 Yuan, accounting for 70.4% of the whole family income, it was 686 Yuan higher than the average level, the proportion was 2.3 percent higher than the average level; The average fixed income of 8 cities of Jiangsu was 2790 Yuan, accounting for 65.4% of the whole family income, it was 583 Yuan less than the average level, the proportion was 2.7% lower than the average level; The average fixed income of Zhejiang was 4035 Yuan, accounting for 70.5% of the whole family income, it was 662 Yuan more than the average level, the proportion was 2.4% higher than the average level, the average fixed income and proportion were 1245 Yuan and 5.1 percent higher than Jiangsu respectively.
2. The development of private economy accelerated and the proportion of dwellers' self-supporting income increased
The net incomes of dwellers were primarily from self-supporting private businesses, deprived of producing costs, managing expenses and taxes. In recent years, the self-employed and private economy experienced a fast development, became an important channel of dwellers' employment and a source of dwellers' income, chiefly been revealed in the more and more preponderant ratio of the self-supporting income in the whole family income. In the first quarter of 2005, the average self-supporting income of the 15 cities of Yangtze River Delta was 290 Yuan, 57.1% more than the corresponding period of the last year, accounting for 5.9% of the whole family income. But the differences among regions were relatively obvious, in the 6 cities of Zhejiang, the private economy started relatively earlier, people engaged in this kind of economy were relatively more, absolute quantum of which was distinctively higher than the average level of Yangtze River Delta; In Jiangsu, because of recent years' increasing support to the private economy, the development of this kind of economy accelerated distinctly; In Shanghai, because the state-owned and Joint-stock enterprises had a energetic support to the economic development, the development of the private economy lagged comparatively.
3. Property income had contributed greatly to dwellers' family income
Property income composes of interest, rent, bonus and value-added revenue of property from remising the usufruct of property. In the first quarter of 2005, the average property income of fifteen cities of Yangtze River Delta was 106 Yuan, 97.0% more than the corresponding period of last year, accounting for 2.1% of dwellers' whole family income. The increasing rate of the Jiangsu eight cities were higher, with an average increment of as much as 161.2%, 64.2% higher than the average level. The highest absolute value was to Zhejiang, the average property income of the Zhejiang six cities was 164 Yuan, 58 more than the average level; Shanghai's dwellers' property income and it's proportion were both lower than in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, the average property income of Shanghai was 63 Yuan, 5 Yuan less than the average of Jiangsu eight cities and 101 Yuan less than the average of Zhejiang six cities.
4. Shanghai and Jiangsu had more transfer incomes than Zhejiang
Transfer incomes are various payments from state, companies, social organizations to families and the transfer of income among dwellers. It mainly include pension for retirement, alms for unemployment, compensation, companies' solatium for resign, insurance claim, public accumulation funds for house, donation among dwellers and estovers etc.
In the first quarter of 2005, the average transfer income was 1181 Yuan in the whole family income of the fifteen cities of Yangtze River Delta, accounting for 23.9% of the dwellers' whole family income. Shanghai's average transfer income was 1449 Yuan, accounting for 25.1% of dwellers' whole family income; Jiangsu eight cities' average transfer income was 1188 Yuan, accounting for 27.8% of dweller's whole family income and Zhejiang six cities' average transferring income was 1125 Yuan, accounting for 19.6% of dwellers' whole family income. we can see that the average transfer income of Zhejiang was 324 Yuan and 63 Yuan lower than Shanghai and Jiangsu respectively, the proportion of the transfer income was 5.5 percent and 8.2 percent lower than in Shanghai and Jiangsu. It can be inferred that the Zhejiang's proportion of retired people was lower than Shanghai and Jiangsu, or the wage of retired people of Shanghai was higher than the other regions.
