Malaysia's international reserves stand at 103.4 bln USD

KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's central bank Bank Negara said on Tuesday that its international reserves stood at 103.4 billion U.S. dollars as of April 30.
The reserves were marginally lower when compared with 103.5 billion U.S. dollars as of April 15.
The central bank said in a statement that the reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.4 months of retained imports, and it is one time of its total short-term external debt.
The international reserves are consisted of 97.3 billion U.S. dollars in foreign currency reserves, 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in International Monetary Fund Reserves Position, 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in Special Drawing Rights, 1.6 billion U.S. dollars in gold and 2.3 billion U.S. dollars in other reserves assets.
