According to the wathchdog of MOFCOM, the market index of edible agricultural products went down 0.5% and that of the production means decreased 0.3% last week (March 20-26).
In farm produce market: the average price of 30 kinds of vegetables went down 2.6% over the previous week, among which the prices of bitter gourd, kidney beans and green pepper fell down 8.4%, 7.3% and 6.6% respectively. The price of meat fluctuated slightly, with the prices of pork, beef and mutton down 0.8%, 0.3% and 0.1% respectively. The price of edible oil saw a slight decline, among which the prices of rapeseed oil and soybean oil dropped 0.4% and 0.1% respectively, while the price of peanut oil stayed unchanged. The price of grain remained steady, with the prices of rice and flour being the same as those of the previous week. The average price of aquatic products increased 0.9%, with the prices of small yellow croaker, grass carp and carp up 1.9%, 1.7% and 1.3% respectively. The prices of poultry and eggs rose in general, among which the prices of eggs, duck and chicken increased 1.5% , 0.5% and 0.1% respectively week on week.
The means of production market: the price of nonferrous metal decreased 0.5% over the previous week, with the prices of nickel, copper, tin and aluminum down 1.6%, 1%, 0.9% and 0.2% respectively week on week and those of lead and zinc up 0.6% and 0.4% respectively. The price of steel decreased 0.4%, with the prices of cold-rolled common plate, hot-rolled strip, high-speed wire rod and deformed steel down 1.4%, 0.6%, 0.5% and 0.4% respectively. The price of rubber decreased 0.3%, among which the price of natural rubber fell down 1% and that of synthetic rubber increased 0.5%. The price of chemical fertilizer decreased 0.1%, with the prices of urea and DAP down 0.3% and 0.1% respectively, that of potassium chloridekalium up 0.1% and that of NPK remaining steady. The price of basic chemical raw materials decreased 0.1%, with the prices of sodium carbonate, methyl alcohol and purified petroleum benzine down 1.8%, 1.4% and 1.4% respectively, and those of sulfuric acid and caustic soda up 1% and 0.4% respectively. The price of coal was steady, among which the prices of coking coal remained unchanged, that of steam coal increased 0.2%, while that of blind coal was down 0.4%.
