On December 28, the commercial departments of Fujian China and Okinawa Japan signed the trade and economic cooperation memorandum in Tokyo. Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan, Chairman of Japan International Association for the Promotion of International Trade Yohei Kono, Governor of Okinawa Takeshi Onaga and representatives of Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the conference.
Promoting local cooperation is the new measure of developing China-Japan trade and economic relationship. 2017 marks the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic normalization of the Sino-Japanese relations, as well as the 20th anniversary of friendship between Fujian and Okinawa. Fujian and Okinawa hope that both sides can take this opportunity to fully play the regional advantages of each other, to deepen the local cooperation and to make contributions to improving Sino-Japanese relationship and the stable development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
